A reminder that the Ellesmere Prize Giving is to be held this coming Sunday, 15th May, in the Lincoln Club rooms at 2.00pm.  All are welcome. Especially those who have won trophies. 

They are – Ellesmere Men’s Singles – David Spite; Ellesmere Women’s Pairs – Barbara Coetzee and Margie Watson; Ellesmere Men’s Triples – Martin Rowson, Mundy Carroll, Michael Begg; CofC Women’s Singles – Barbara Coetzee; CofC Junior Men’s Singles – Neville Lancaster; CofC Men’s Triples – Martin Rowson, Mundy Carroll, Michael Begg; CofC Men’s Fours – Daniel Harris, Colin Stanbury, Ken Light, Glenn Sagar; CofC Women’s Fours – Lyndsey Withell, Margaret McDrury, Lynore Weeks, Evelyn Carman; Ellesmere Cup  Margaret Ward, Pauline Haydon, Ady Duncan, Margie Watson, Ann Chapman; and the Rooster – Martin Rowson, Lynton Withell, Michael Begg, Daniel Harris, Bruce Gemmell, Maurice Phiskie (with fill in’s David Williams and Michael Crawford).  

It would be great to see you all there to receive your trophies.  Please bring a small plate for afternoon tea.

The Secretary has sent to members the Notice of the Annual General Meeting of the Lincoln Bowling Club Inc. It is to be held in the Clubhouse at 10am on Sunday 12 June 2022.  

Also included was the 2022 nomination form for Committee positions. There are a number of members of the present Executive relinquishing their positions this year so please seriously consider putting your name forward to help in the running of your Club.

The first window for members to order clothing direct from Dynasty closed on 1 May.  Given that it is Winter, sales were good and a total of 19 items were ordered.  The most popular items were the Wet Weather Jacket (6 ordered), the Cap (4) and the Hoodie (3).

A notification and internet link will appear here when the next tranche of orders has been organised.

There continues to be excellent turn-outs for the LBC Winter Bowls.  

This week there were 28 players on Wednesday and they played 7 rinks of 2:4:2.  For the Thursday Roll-up there were 27 players playing mostly 3 Bowl Triples.

The weather was great for bowling on both days.
