Challenging windy bowling conditions for the finals but the teams managed the greens exceeding well with some very tight games and close finishes. Well done to you all.

The 2023 KORU GAMES started Tuesday, 19th Sep, with three days of action involving approx. 100 schools from around the South Island. The games started Tue 19th Sept and ran through to Thu 21st Sept.  This is a year 7 & 8 children's multi-day sports tournament, covering 18 different sports programs, hosted by the Selwyn Sports Trust in the Selwyn District.  The tournament program has spread the activities across 4 hubs, being Lincoln, Lincoln University, Rolleston and Prebbleton.

There are 87 schools taking part in the Bowls section of the Games representing Selwyn, Canterbury and the wider South Island kura.

We welcomed all players to our Club and good bowling to all the children and supporters taking part in this great sporting event.

A big thank you to all the Club members who assisted Erica and Meg from Bowls Canterbury, and supported by the Selwyn Sports Trust, who made this event a great success and with an eye on the bowlers of the future.

Unfortunately the Online Shop will not be available for members this season and manual orders will be taken commencing Opening Day.  

Orders will be open for 4 weeks from the 9th September. Members ordering items will be Invoiced by the LBC Treasurer and payment must be made before the order is placed with Dynasty.

Now is the time to Join us.  Our Summer Bowling Season has just started.  We provide our members with a wide range of Summer and Winter bowling options, both social and competitive.

We welcome potential members who are new to bowls as well as experienced bowlers moving into the area.
