Bowls New Zealand is the national governing body of Lawn Bowls in New Zealand. Their Web Site contains a great deal of useful information about the Sport of Lawn Bowls.

Bowls Canterbury is responsible for developing and delivering bowls in the Canterbury Region.  They have a Web Site frequently updated with news and events.

World Bowls have a number of useful documents about bowls under the title Introduction to the Sport.  

They also have a free magazine called “Inside Bowls“.

The BBC in the UK have published a very good Beginners Guide to Bowls.
