INTRODUCTION TO OUR BOWLING

The Lincoln Bowling Club has an excellent natural green and an all weather artificial surface. The main outdoor bowling season normally starts in September and ends April, depending on the weather.

All types of competitive and social bowls are available and members are provided with a “Programme Booklet” at the start of each outdoor summer season. The Programme is also available online here.

Social Bowling includes the “Ladies Day” at 9.00 or 9.30 am each Wednesday, the “Men's Day” at 1.00pm each Thursday and mixed ‘Club Day’ bowls on some Saturdays. There are also a number of friendly matches arranged with other local bowls clubs.

The club holds various tournaments in 4’s, triples and 2-4-2 formats. There are also many types of internal club competitions including Singles, Pairs, Triples and Fours for both Men and Women.

The club enters multiple teams, both ladies and men, in both the Christchurch Centre, and Ellesmere Sub Centre, Pennant and Interclub competitions.

Monday night friendly Community Bowls is also available for non members in January/February, and we are the Bowls venue for the “Koru Games” for schools organised by the Selwyn Sports Trust.

There is Winter Outdoor bowls, in both Tournament and roll-up formats, on the artificial green; and Winter Indoor bowls, played with normal size bowls, in the Club House.
